Your games have been some of the most beautiful and transformative experiences of my life, and I can’t wait to see what comes next.
Any chance Austin Wintory might be coming back to do the soundtrack for this one?
Hope can play it on PS3, or i should buy PS4.
I can hardly wait to!

I love thatgamecompany?
Journey is the best game a ever played, I’m looking forward to this new masterpiece!
You set the bar so high with Journey, I can only hope for an even better experience! If that is even possible, you are the only ones who can do it!

I’m so excited! It’s been a while since we’ve heard just about anything, so it’s good to know this is coming out next year!!

I can not wait! You guys are amazing. I have played more games than I can count and Journey is one of my most favorite games EVER!!! Amazing experience.
Awesome! Hope we can get it for PC this time!
I absolutely love Journey and it’s one of the most beautiful games I’ve ever experienced and was wondering if we can expect any of your new games to be developed for PSVR? Your games in virtual reality would be absolutely awesome.
We don’t have any announced plans for any of our future games (including the one we’re developing now) to be PSVR (or any other VR peripheral) compatible. Regarding this, we’ll decide whether or not to make the games compatible based on if each individual game will be suitable for VR, and vice versa.
Happy new year to all at TGC.
Keep developing great games.
I cannot wait for this. Journey is hands down the most surprising and wonderful game ever made. It has cross-borders and cross-age appeal. A total; stroke of genius. I love playing it as also does my 5 year old! She is excited about the images of children that seem to be a feature of the new one. if you need any beta testers let us know! 🙂
Please please please let your new game be multiplatform and available on Xbox! I have longed to play your amazing games for so long but like so many people, simply can’t afford to purchase both consoles.
Wishing you masses of success in 2017!
ITHANK THATGAMECOMPANY FOR JOURNEY. I’ve taken a JOURNEY atleast everyday since October 2016. To me it is a daily spiritual walk. It is like a long walk in a peaceful meadow after an arduous day. Looking forward to EXPLORE another path to a similar outcome.
Please release for PS3.
You guys have created nothing but amazing games. Hopefully it will be exclusive playstation again. Also when will this be released or some kind of trailer?
Thanks for the kind words! 😀
This game will be multiplatform, as we’re self-publishing it. I can’t talk about which platforms it will or won’t appear on.
As seen in the image on the right, it will come out this year. 😀
The game will be multiplatform, but we haven’t announced any platforms it will appear on yet.
I just bought my third copy of Journey (and my first on PS4 – my other two are PS3) along with flOw and Flower specifically to support you guys. Extremely excited about that new game! Take your time, though. Get it right. I’m certain you will!
Jose Andres Galdames says
I love your games, Flower and Journey changed my way of experiencing games and since then I love you guys. Keep being unique!
So amazing to hear you are making new game.
It’s been 6 months since your first post about the new game, when are you going to release more details about it.
Or maybe a trailer.
I am hoping it is PS3 also! I am super excited to see what TGC has in store for this title. I pop back here all the time eagerly awaiting any news. Keep up the great work TGC, I am a big fan of Journey, so calming to play, you are doing great!
Abhijit Rabha says
I am waiting for this game.
you Guys are really creative in this field. I am also a newbie game developer and also a web-designer,
you can check my work here.
Only 6 months of 2017 left guys……..A new pic or 2 would really keep us ticking over……
Only just realized that this had been revealed, as someone who’s been anticipating TGC’s next game since Journey’s release in 2012. I used to check this site at least once every few months to check if there was any new info, but I guess it’s been more than half a year this time.
Either way, whether the game releases in 2017 or 2020, I don’t really mind as long as you take the time to create something you’re happy with 🙂 I can wait.
Michael London says
I am so glad and I downloaded the game Journey the first time I played this game I played it all the way to the end and by the end of it I was in tears it moved me that much so I cannot wait to see what you guys come up with next I have this on my PlayStation I’ll never take it off
Brandon Sartori says
I recently decided to rewatch a YouTuber’s playthrough of Journey from about 3 years ago, after finishing the series, I thought, “I wonder what project, if any, TGC is working on right now?”
Lo and behold I find my way to this website and see that you guys have had a new game in the works for a while now, and, to put it simply, I am ECSTATIC! I can’t wait to see what this next entry into TGC’s illustrious legacy holds for us, but this time, I won’t be a year and a half late playing it! I wish you the best of luck in development.
Just learned about this now. So excited to see what the new game would be. From the teaser, I am thinking it might be a “generational” thing, like a passing of the torch from one player to another, and where death is not something to be afraid of and avoided, but rather embraced? Sorry, I’m talking nonsense here. 😀
