Hey guys just wanted to say congratulations on the launch, i just finished level four and the game is everything I hoped and so much more, so thank you. Its funny that a smaller independent studio could be the first to succeed with the six axis ( imo)
Anyway I also wanted to add to what scott was saying . Ive been closely following the rise of the various 3D steroscopic and non steroscopic displays and this is the single best piece of content to showcase it that I have ever seen. I know without proper polorized screen and glasses you cant do steroscopic 3d at home ( the pc drivers that allow it arnt the new 3d tech and the red and blue steroscopic glasses work but are totaly lame) but I was wondering if you guys ever mocked anything up in the office . Ive heard though that next gen depth of field negates the 3d effect , and you guys have some of the most beautiful and strong examples of that.

Sorry for the butt kissing and the long comment hehe. I just stopped playing the game so Im still kinda riding high on it. Thanks again.

The game is absolute joy to play, and it’s one of the best games I’ve ever seen. The lighting, the frame-rate, the grass, the audio, the flowers, and the sense of wind and speed is incredible. It’s a truly beautiful game and it’s a work of art without all of the pretentiousness.

    Fantastic!

Seriously I have so much respect for what you are doing.

I am glad ya choose sony because thats why i bought a sony console over the compitition i believed in these sort of games to come up on that platform and luckely i was right. This is my experience with the brand PS delivering gaming experiences that expresses and explores the meaning of Art. So i really will wish ya luck with the sales.

I first saw mention of this game over a year ago. It has not left my mind since. Now, after downloading and playing, if only for an hour (I think it was an hour; I honestly lost sense of time), I’m trying to convince myself I’m not chocking up over the most beautiful play experience I have ever had. 13 months could not have paid off any more deeply. flOw was really quite amazing on the PS3 (I’d followed it for a long time since i played the original on the PC a long way back), but Flower went and outdid it. It’s a brilliant little game, well worth the money, and far better than most of the generic games that come out these days.

I’d just like to offer a suggestion; whilst the first few levels were great, the fifth and sixth certainly weren’t as good, i’m not sure you should have gone down the “dark” root, which seems to be nearly everyone’s opinion. If you do make an expansion (as with flOw) i really hope you go back to the artistic design of the first couple 🙂

One of the best games ive ever played. Thanky you, for making it. Its not very often that i get emotional from games, but this did it for me on so many levels. This game (dont want to really call it a game tbh) and those that made it deserve awards and recognition. This is what “next gen” and innovation are really about. cheers guys.

Just coming back to comment again – I really don’t think a game has ever got such universal praise as this (Admitedly not quite all reviewers understand Flower, but those of the general public who have played the game have nothing bad to say about it). It’s a shame some people are missing out just because of their preconceptions though; a kind of “what’s the point if you’re not killing / beating anyone” attitude.

MUCHAS GRACIAS! Hope I can express this in my poor English: not much to add to what people commented here about the game play, the beauty and all that emotions people will have to play itself to feel, and also I’m full of hope that some day an expansion for Flower will show up on the PSN. Today You all (the game makers)must be feeling satisfaction and a huge responsibility for the games to come. But relax, please continue being yourselves, so unique, so fresh, so healthy. Because you made games without violence, only art and poetry. That’s because you have a mind that is pure, healthy and prolific! Oh, I almost forgot the built-in music composer! Yes, to all people who finished the game, start again and pay attention to the music score and what happens if you don’t follow the wind and take another path. Yeah, music conjunction WILL be different each time. That’s what is called replay value, or so (I speak Spanish). But I must say one thing I didn’t so on the comments so far:
The game is fully emotional from start to finish. It’s a pleasure to slow down the most possible, and to pass the same spot at full speed later (you know, making flower-music play!). But to me guys, and now I sit up to applause, the most EMOTIONAL part of the game was that fantastic CREDITS-level! Flower is so beautiful, that the final credits conform an extra level. You all at the dev. team (my dear friends from now on), made me cry of emotion playing with every name, because it’s the most original and playful way to put your names where you deserve them to be. It’s a soulful and deserved homage to each person that made the game possible. Excuse the length of this, but I’m shocked and happy. IMHO, you don’t need to think of the next game: enjoy this baby that was born just 5 days ago. Let it grOw! (ha ha! Simply coincidence…No pressure at all, guys/girls)
A new Hope was born on February 12th, 2009. Let it grOw. Let it be.
What a wonderful game… What a wonderful game. What a wonderful game!

Just finished, all I can say is breathtaking. Level design makes you feel closer to this faceless wind thing than any other character in any other game, iv never felt so immersed. When i was first shocked by one of the metal things I felt more hurt and betrayed than ever before. Thank you for the first real out of body experience.

Beautiful game. I’m hoping there will be a patch soon for more. Please do continue making this great game. At first I was questioning the “dark level” but it all made sense. This is exactly how life is in the real world. The good and bad exist but good will always prevail in every disaster. I wonder if the game creaters thought of the World Trade Center disaster. I was moved when I saw the two towers reach to the sky again. I saw the positive message there…
Next time I would give the option to use the analog sticks to move. Some may prefer this to the sixaxis.
The msic was awesome also. I really like the guitar melody when sitting idle at the flower icon on hte Playstion game menu.
So lets see another patch soon….

    Wow! Wow!
I love this so much – I feel so crazy telling friends about it as they only imagina playstation to be about fighting and crashing cars and stuff -this is so beautiful – I feel that its like a work of art – the atmospheres -the rain,it made me smile so often..
I havent got to the end yet, i am in a scary place of falling sizzling electricity and pylons, but that makes it more exciting, and not so “idealistic” or “hippyfied”,if it was all positive with no effort…the darkness really adds to the experience so far!
I have played a level each day – that enough!
I dont want it to end too soon!

She was a middle age french woman. Never really understood how one could play in front of a PS3.
And one day she was sent Flowers.
And in one night, she was caught.
Finally someone, somewhere had realized that there are people who loved playing, fun, emotions, sensations, without having countdowns, blood, orders shouted, or to cheat to get infinite lives…

She loved it, and let the door open.

    Thanks so much for her!
