Gianluca, aka “The Huge,” contacted us all the way from Milan, Italy to share a beautiful piece he completed after playing “Flower.” He writes:

“Anyway the clouds, the wind and the whole atmosphere belong to me so much. One year before your releasedthe game I wrote an instrumental song called La nebbia, after flowr was released I wrote some lyrics inspired by the sense of freedom I felt in the game that, on the other hand, reminded of my teenage years.”

Listen to his song, “Flower,” here.

Stephen, aka The Game Locker, sent us this video, which is part review, part fandome. Either way, it’s a very thoughtful and personal look at “Flower.” Enjoy!

Robin Hunicke in Nottingham

It’s been awhile since the Flower GameCity event, but the local Nottingham Trent student rag just published this sweet interview with Robin, who was over there enjoying the awesomeness that is the UK and GameCity. I wouldn’t bring up the fact that it happened awhile ago, except that she ruminates on enjoying the student vibe around Nottingham:

“I absolutely love the idea of being a student because you can spend your time doing what you please. You can follow your whimsy and your curiosity, which is critical. You should enjoy the time that you have as a student and experiment as much as possible. I think, a lot of the time, people spend their time as a student worrying about being able to make something commercial and successful. But when you’re a student you can make whatever you like and you should use that time to investigate strange and new territory.”

Yeah, that worked out pretty well for us.
