Adam Lederer joined thatgamecompany as a Feel Engineer in 2012 after graduating from Carnegie Mellon with a masters in Entertainment Technology.  His highest goal is to let players express themselves through rich moment-to-moment control and feedback.   His other highest goal is to portray unique and affecting atmospheres, embedding hard-to-verbalize emotions into spaces and details.

Adam succumbed to a serious music habit early in life, and years of composing and studying music has shaped his outlook on creativity and the role of entertainment.  Literal, descriptive media like literature and visual arts aren't the only formats that construct a bridge of communication and shared experience between the creator and the audience - abstract forms like non-lyric music, architecture, and games (rules, systems, or even just feels) create an equally strong bond by communicating directly with emotion and physicality.
