CBC Radio Interview on Flower & More

Posted by Jenova on February 5th, 2009

It was a great honor and pleasant experience chatting with host of CBC Radio show Spark, Nora Young about Flower and the game design philosophy behind thatgamecompany.

The crew at Spark managed to edit our 30 minutes conversation into be a very condensed information feast. You probably won’t be able to tell that I had bad coughs that day. Applause for the effort went into the show!

I caught the interview on Spark — very interesting and thought provoking. After having played flOw and Cloud, I’m looking forward to Flower. Hopefully it will be the same kind of full-sense experience as the others.

I caught the interview on CBC today…it was gret…I am very interested in trying Flow and optaining Flower. I teach in the adult and higher education and techer education program at the university here in Manioba. I am looking for new ways to move thinking beyond the concrete to the creative and transformational. I need to try the games to be able to share them with my students…and grandkids too….I am a Digital ESLer! I am pumped!
Thanks for pushing the edge of the envelope Jenova!

I also just happened to catch the interview while I was driving- I had to stop in the a car park to listen and make sure I could write down the infomation. Flow is Beautiful- more than that ist WONDERFULL. I am an artist working on a conceptual art project called the Institute of Wonder………like to make this a link…….

Also, as it appears, SCEJ decided to release Flower for 800 yen and to call it Flowery (not a typo too considering the katakana)

Like everyone else, I caught the Nora Young’s interview, too. I have never wanted to play a videogame before, but your approach sounded so unusual that I decided to give it a try.
