Flower in Liverpool, Dec 18 - Feb 21

Posted by Kellee on December 7th, 2009

Flower” will be shown at theĀ Foundation for Art and Creative Technology (FACT) as a part of a show called “Space Invaders: Art and the Computer Game Environment.”

Space Invaders: Art and the Computer Game Environment explores the increasingly blurred boundaries between videogame spaces and real spaces. It features artists using games as a medium and subject (Blast Theory, Aram Bartholl, Bill Viola, Cao Fei, Ludic Society and more) alongside playable, commercial games that push the limits of the medium. Space Invaders is part of a season of gaming at FACT. The season includes interactive games events, competitions and a game-themed film programme.

Wow, two months of being shown.
I don’t think I’ve heard of any TGC games being shown that long.

Now, if only the Smithsonian would have a video game exhibit with Flower in it, then it would catch some more Americans’ eyes.

I think something that would cool would be a download for Flower with three holiday or winter levels one in the morning the second in the the woods and night or not that turns into a snow storm and the third would lead you into a town at night were you light up trees then it leads up to the top of a mountain at the ending.

Umm…
Yeah…
So when I talked about The Smithsonian doing a video game art exhibit, I was kind of joking, but The Smithsonian was not.

Wow, 2012, the year of the Video Games at The Smithsonian.
I guess that’s why the world will end - Faux News will tell all their followers to commit suicide because video games told them to do it.

Collin!
Holiday/Winter themed Flower levels!!
THAT WOULD BE EPIC!!!!
Just think about flying around and seeing Santa Claus delivering gifts to nearby houses!
SPOILER ALERT:
Or he delivers gifts after you “purify” the buildings. ;-)
END SPOILER:

Anyways, I can’t wait to see what TGC is coming up with next!
