The Art of Journey Available For Pre-Order
Posted by Aaron on September 8th, 2012
Good news, everyone!
The Art of Journey is finally up for pre-order at Bluecanvas! The first 750 orders get copies that are signed by both Jenova Chen and Matt Nava! Signed copies are still available, but they’ll likely run out quickly.
You can pre-order them at this link:

EDIT:
The book is no longer available for signed pre-orders, but you can buy a standard copy with much cheaper shipping from Amazon right here:

Click the “Read more” link to see some pictures of the book.

And, yes, we are working on getting it in our store, but nothing is set as of yet.
The book costs $60 with free shipping to the Contiguous U.S., $25 to Canada and Mexico, and $40 everywhere else. (Well, except for Iran, North Korea, and Cuba, that is.)

Pre-ordered! Journey is one of my favourite games of all time and I can’t wait to get my hands on this:)

Just pre-ordered as well! Journey is one of the most beautiful and well-designed games I’ve played. Plus, I just started grad school at DigiPen for digital art, and I’m sure this book will be an amazing source of inspiration!

How will we know if we made the first 750? I guess when we get the copy?

Journey is an emotional experience beyond all expectations. True magic still happens.
Unfortunately I don’t own a creditcard, so I hope, the book will make it to your store, so I can purchase it via PayPal.
Keep up the good work, guys!

Any news on if and when this book will be making it to your store, yet?
September 16th, 2012 at 10:29 pm
@Aav:
Nothing yet.
We’re trying to get some, but it will likely be some time until we have an answer.

@Janice:
I’m assuming yes, but we don’t know. If we get some copies in our store, we’ll offer cheaper shipping to Canada, but I don’t know how Amazon is going to handle this if they indeed do get some copies.

So I’ll wait an see. Since I am a “liker” of yours on fb, I hope to get a short message over there, when (and if) the book hits your store.
Have a nice sunday.

I literally screamed and ran all over the house as soon as I saw the cover of the book. A book about Journey’s art design AND fan art! I’ve never been this excited for years- I love Journey so much. Thank you amazing artists; I really look up to your work and you guys are incredible at what you do.

Could you please tell me if this book will be available for purchase on Amazon.co.uk for UK customers? I noticed somewhere it said that it would be available at the beginning of october, yet there is no sign of it?
October 3rd, 2012 at 12:27 pm
@Paul:
We don’t know when they’ll be available there.
We have them up in our store and ship to the UK for US$20, but you’ll have to pay higher shipping (import fees will be included in the sale price on Amazon).
Please contact Bluecanvas regarding the book on Amazon UK.

I really hope that shipments either JUST went out or haven’t been shipped yet and will be SOON. I saw that they were supposed to go out Mid-late September and I still haven’t received my book so I’m a little concerned.

@Lochichi:
They are shipping out this week.
There were issues with shipping, but everything is in and going out. I don’t have a specific launch time for book orders from our store, though.

This is one of the most beautiful games I’ve ever played. As soon as payday comes I’m ordering one of these for someone I know who loves it even more than I do. Perfect Christmas present. Thanks.

ourney is an emotional experience beyond all expectations.

I was one of the lucky 750 to get a signed copy from Bluecanvas.
This is definitely the best art book that I have seen in recent times. The build quality and overall material used is great.
Get it! You will not be disappointed!

Hi,
Does anyone know if this is still scheduled to arrive in the UK?
I can then decide whether or not to import one.
I hope someone can help.
Thanks.

Does anyone know how we can get the books to ship to Canada? It says they’re sold out for all canadian retailers, even online.
I know I missed the 750 (a pity!) but I’d still love a standard copy somehow.

@DragonElfWarrior:
Sadly, there’s no current way for you to get a copy of the book. Bluecanvas would have to have them shipped back to them from Amazon in order to get more to sell to Canadians.
February 14th, 2013 at 11:30 am
@DragonElfWarrior- Here’s a link for Canadians who wish to get a copy.

Thank you!
February 20th, 2013 at 10:24 pm
Hey!
A friend recommended the game to me, imagine my disbelief when I saw it was only available for PS3
. I absolutely love the trailer and videos I saw for Journey and would love to buy it! Are you guys planning on releasing a PC version of Journey anytime in the near future?
Thanks! Keep doing what you guys are doing
February 23rd, 2013 at 10:37 pm
Your game Journey is just awesome. There are no words to describe it. Well done and props to all that worked hard on producing the game :3. It is a masterpiece!
February 25th, 2013 at 5:58 pm
@Andrew:
Unless if Sony stops making video game consoles or does something drastic, Journey won’t be making it’s way to the PC.
The good news is Journey would never have existed if it wasn’t PS3 exclusive.

This game is so awesome! I love it, look at the graphics, look at the story. I want so much to play this game!
